Cox Communications is a provider of digital cable TV services, telecommunications products and wireless services. Serving in excess of six million customers, Cox is the third largest provider of cable television in the US. Of those, there are 2.9 million cable customers, 3.5 million internet customers and 3.2 million digital phone customers. Cox first got into the cable television business in 1962 in Pennsylvania, later expanding to the west coast, but the official formation of the company was not complete until 1964.
