Although once known as The International House of Pancakes, today the chain that is best known for its waffles is formerly called IHOP. Specializing in breakfast food in general and pancakes specifically, IHOP also offers a full menu range that includes traditional lunch and dinner fare. There are more than 1500 IHOP restaurants located throughout the US. Incidentally, the chain only recently began opening locations outside the States; the 'international' in its previous name referred to the fact that its menu includes pancake dishes inspired by countries the world over. IHOP was founded in Los Angeles, California in 1958.
What to Expect When Interviewing
The majority of applicants that interview for a position with IHOP report a positive interview experience. Potential employees can expect a fairly straightforward interview process consisting of a face-to-face and/or group panel interview, in which a skills test and a personality test may be given. A standard interview question might include, "Describe the perfect work environment." Potential employees can apply online or in person, and phone interviews are sometimes conducted prior to the face-to-face interview. Cashier
Cashiers must keep the customer at the center of all that they do. Cashiers must run fast and efficient cashier operations with friendly customer service. Cashiers also need to be knowledgeable about the store, its merchandise and services offered.
Overnight Replenishment Associate
Job responsibilities require that Associates replenish and relocate merchandise both on and off of the sales floor.
