RaceTrac is a chain of convenience stores and gas stations located in the southern US. Founded in 1934 by Carl Bolch Sr. in St. Louis, Missouri, the chain first opened with the name Carl Bolch Trackside Stations. When Carl Bolch Jr. took over the business from his father in 1967, he pioneered the self-service gasoline concept and then moved the company headquarters to Atlanta, changing the name of the chain to RaceTrac. Today there are almost 600 locations under the names RaceTrac, which are company owned stores, and RaceWay, which are franchised stores.

What to Expect When Interviewing

The majority of applicants that interview for a position with RaceTrac report a positive interview experience. Potential employees can expect a fairly straightforward interview process consisting of a face-to-face and/or group panel interview, in which a skills test and a personality test may be given. A standard interview question might include, _How would you handle a situation in which you did not get along well with a fellow employee?_ Potential employees can apply online or in person, and phone interviews are sometimes conducted prior to the face-to-face interview.
