Sheetz is a convenience store chain that was started in 1952 by Bob Sheetz. The first store, which was originally one of five of his father_s dairy stores, was successful, and a second store was opened in 1963 with the name Sheetz Kwik Shopper. By 1972, the chain had expanded to fourteen stores, shortly thereafter introducing the first self-serve gas station to Pennsylvania. Sheetz had more than 100 stores by 1983, and today there are over 400 company-owned locations located throughout Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia, some offering signature items such as Made To Order food items and gourmet coffee.
What to Expect When Interviewing
The majority of applicants that interview for a position with Sheetz report a positive interview experience. Potential employees can expect a fairly straightforward interview process consisting of a face-to-face and/or group panel interview, in which a skills test and a personality test may be given. A standard interview question might include, _How would you deal with a customer that was upset?_ Potential employees can apply online or in person, and phone interviews are sometimes conducted prior to the face-to-face interview. Cashier
Cashiers must keep the customer at the center of all that they do. Cashiers must run fast and efficient cashier operations with friendly customer service. Cashiers also need to be knowledgeable about the store, its merchandise and services offered.
Overnight Replenishment Associate
Job responsibilities require that Associates replenish and relocate merchandise both on and off of the sales floor. Organize and maintain areas of the stockroom according to Kmart policy, and process inbound and outbound freight. Due to the late hours, applicants will need to consistently be available for overtime shifts for this position.
