What to Expect When Interviewing

About half the applicants who were interviewed reported a positive experience, and half of them applied online. First interview will be with a recruiter and you are likely to discuss your background, the position, and answer generic questions about your interest in the company. The general consensus is that the interview will be straight forward, impersonal, and a little unprofessional. There are numerous call backs in a very lengthy and often unfruitful process. There may be no job offer, even after 5 or 6 call backs over a period of a few months. The environment is very political and there are consistently a significant number of layoffs.
